I have been playing with the UGS software and have had problems trying to set up the machine orientation for the Flex. The orientation always has the Z-axis vertical rather than horizontal as with the flex. Perhaps it's not necessary but it seems like it should be doable?

i would encourage you to read the GG 2 manual. this machine is a clone of that machine and the axis are configured the same way. home and orientation is covered in there.
